Holiday Concert, “Hope,” Marks Greenwich Choral Society’s to Return to Annual Live Performance

Save the date! The Greenwich Choral Society announces a return to live performance with its Annual Holiday Concert, “Hope,” Saturday, December 18 at 4:00pm at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center. It is the Choral Society’s first live concert in two years as we share our “hope” for a better tomorrow with candles, bells and carols.

In addition to the traditional candlelight processional and seasonal carols, J.S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 61: Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, Gerald Finzi’s In Terra Pax, and Dan Forrest’s arrangement of Silent Night will be featured.

The Choral Society has announced the Guest Artists for the Holiday Concert: Meredith Lustig, Soprano, and Justin Ryan, Baritone. They continue the tradition of excellent soloists who enhance the Choral Society’s performances, bringing a true holiday sparkle to the theme, “Hope.”

The Choral Society has announced several guidelines to open the in-person concert season and to do it in a manner that provides for the safety of the concert-goers. All attendees must be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination upon entering the concert hall.

All attendees must be masked. In addition, tickets will be free to all K-12 vaccinated students.

The Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School is a marvelous venue for choral concerts with great acoustics and plenty of space for appropriate social distancing. The concert is a great way for families to come
together and to celebrate the holiday season.
