Free Screening of “Hard Miles” and a live Q&A with star Matthew Modine at the Arch Street Teen Center

 

The Arch Street Teen Center, in collaboration with the Town of Greenwich Youth Services Bureau and the Greenwich Active Transportation Task Force, is thrilled to announce a special event – a free screening of the acclaimed film “Hard Miles” followed by a post-screening Q&A session with the film’s star, Matthew Modine, celebrated for his iconic roles in “Full Metal Jacket,” “Stranger Things,” and more.

The event will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Arch Street Teen Center, located next to the Greenwich Skate Park at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park with the screening at 7:00 pm.

Matthew Modine has captivated audiences with his versatile performances across a range of genres. From his breakthrough role as Private Joker in Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece “Full Metal Jacket” to his portrayal of the enigmatic Papa in the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” Modine’s talent has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.

In “Hard Miles,” Modine delivers yet another compelling performance, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination as he leads a group of teens from a youth detention facility on an epic journey. Following the screening at 7:00 PM, attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to engage with Matthew Modine in a live Q&A session, delving into his illustrious career and the making of “Hard Miles.”

Prior to the screening, attendees are encouraged to meet, greet, and talk bike/pedestrian infrastructure and safety with youth officers, Town officials and State Reps. Food trucks will be on site for pre-show dinner. Ice cream will be provided for all attendees, compliments of event sponsors.
