The Avon Theatre in Stamford is open for in person viewing with an abbreviated schedule Thursday through Sunday evenings with weekend matinees.
Masks are required, and since there is reduced seating in order to observe social distancing, the theatre suggests purchasing tickets online.
New cleaning and safety protocols are in place throughout the building.
The Avon is now offering excellent cinema, both in our theater and through Avon Online, so there is truly something for everyone.
Patrons have been enjoying the mix of new releases and classic films showing in-person at the Avon.
The theater continues to be open on a Thursday through Sunday schedule with safety protocols in place. The theater also continues to provide streaming access to newly released films through Avon Online.
This coming weekend filmgoers can enjoy two classic films from master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, a family-friendly matinee of a popular ‘80s film, as well as a newly released black and white art film.
For those who prefer to stream a film from the comfort of their home, two new titles will be available starting July 24: a documentary about the photographer Helmut Newton and a program of short films from the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
Other great titles are still available through Avon Online including a documentary about the life and work of recently deceased congressman John Lewis.
