Greenwich stands at a consequential moment. Decisions made in Hartford will shape our families’ futures, our rights, and the character of our communities. We need leaders with the experience, integrity, and courage to meet this moment. Jill Oberlander is that leader.
Jill is sharp, deeply familiar with the issues facing Connecticut, and willing to speak up for what is right—not simply what is politically convenient. She understands that reproductive freedom is fundamental, that young families need the opportunity to build their lives here, and that the next generation deserves a state ready to invest in its future. Just as important, Jill brings a sense of integrity that is all too rare in politics. She will listen, work hard, and represent Greenwich and the interests of all our neighbors.
We should also reelect State Representatives Hector Arzeno and Steve Meskers. Their tenure has demonstrated committed leadership and a strong focus on Greenwich. They have helped secure significant state funding for local projects, so our community can address its needs here at home. They have stood up for vulnerable people at a time when their rights and well-being are under attack elsewhere. And they have worked to preserve local control over housing decisions, an issue deeply important to Greenwich residents.
These priorities are not in conflict. We can protect individual freedoms, support families, defend those who need a voice, and make sure local communities have a meaningful say in their future. That takes representatives who know our town, understand the stakes, and are prepared to act.
Our state and country are at a critical crossroads. This election is a chance to choose leaders who will put people and community first. Vote Row A: Jill Oberlander for State Senate, and Hector Arzeno and Steve Meskers for State Representative. Their leadership matters, and so does your vote. Let’s send them to Hartford ready to stand up for Greenwich and for Connecticut, and indeed, for America.
Editor’s note: Letters to the editor about candidates in the Nov 3, 2026 election, we will accept letters for consideration from Oct 1 to the 27.
