Greenwich Police arrested a Greenwich man on July 27 after responding to a back country residence on a report of a 22 year old male making verbal threats to a victim.
On scene investigation revealed that William Baxter, 22, of Greenwich made a threat to burn down the house while two victims were present and also caused a disturbance within the residence.
He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Threat 2nd degree – Violence to Terrorize.
Under Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-62(a)(2)(A), a person is guilty of second-degree threatening when they threaten to commit any crime of violence with the specific intent to terrorize another person.
His bond was set at $1,000 and he was assigned a date in court on July 28.
