NH Woman Who Led Police on I95 Chase Had Firearm, Machete and Axe in Vehicle

CT State Police arrested a New Hampshire woman Friday night around 11:40pm  after a hit and run incident in Stamford.

According to the criminal information summary, Amy G Palchevskiy, 26,  fled the scene of the accident in a gray Toyota Rav4 and engaged Stamford Police in pursuit onto I95 northbound. Stamford police terminated pursuit in the area of exit 13, but Troopers were able to locate the vehicle in the area of exit 18 and attempted to stop it, but the vehicle continued.

Responding troopers then boxed the vehicle in and were able to stop Palchevskiy on I95 northbound in the area of exit 26.

Palchevskiy was taken into custody.

Through investigation, a firearm, SOG tomahawk axe and a 12-inch Sogfari black machete were located inside the vehicle.

Palchevskiy was charged with:

Reckless Driving
Disobeying Signal of Officer
Traffic Control Signals
Failure to Display Lights
Failure to Carry Pistol Permit
Illegal Sale of Ammunition
Failure to Insure Private Motor Vehicle
Illegal Sale/Purchase Large Capacity Magazine
Criminal Mischief 3rd degree
Interfering with Officer/Resisting
Reckless Endangerment 1st degree

Palchevskiy was later temporarily surrendered to York Correction Institution on a $100,000 cash bond and was due to appear in Bridgeport on Monday.
