Beginning the first week of December, the grounds of the Greenwich Historical Society will be aglow with twinkling lights and vibrant decorations. An array of family-oriented events are planned, with proceeds supporting arts and education programming.

Festival of Tabletop Trees: Unique assortment of festive trees
December 3, 4 and 5: 9:00am – 5:00pm
December 6: 11:00am – 3:00pm
Find the holiday tree of your dreams at this 7th annual festival offering a stunning and diverse collection of beautifully decorated, one-of-a-kind trees generously donated by local designers and community partners.
These unique decorations can be used as traditional Christmas trees or festive holiday table accents and centerpieces for transforming homes into festive sanctuaries.

Holiday Boutique: Shopping extravaganza at Greenwich Country Club

This beloved shopping event has a curated selection of high-end clothing, accessories, packaged artisanal foods and children’s gifts that are sourced internationally to appeal to all age groups.
The opening night reception will put you in the holiday spirit with festive music, light snacks and beverages while browsing the offerings on display at Greenwich Country Club.

Holiday Festival: A Night at the Museum
Saturday, December 13: 4pm – 7:00pm
For this year’s Night at the Museum theme, children are invited to come in their PJ’s so they can get cozy while experimenting with a variety of creative crafts. They can decorate their own gingerbread people, and have their photos taken with a special guest from the North Pole in the Historic Barn. A fire will be lit for warming up and making tasty s’mores and a selection of seasonal treats, hot cocoa and other winter beverages will be available to round-out a festive, fun-filled evening. Holiday Tea with the Holleys: Includes docent-led tour
Friday, December 12: 1pm and 3:00pm
Cozy up in the Historical Society’s barn for a tea service with live harp music and sweat treats inspired by the traditions of the Holley family. Guests also will enjoy a short, docent-led walking tour of the site that inspired the Cos Cob art colony artists who lived and worked at the Holley boarding house at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Artists were inspired by the beautiful winter scenes painted by the Impressionist artists. There will be two seatings. Registration is required. Museum Store: Distinctive gifts for holiday lists
It’s an ideal setting to find inspiration for holiday gifting. Store manager Barbara Johann has assembled a collection of distinctive gifts to meet holiday shopping needs including jewelry, fashion and home accessories, books, children’s items and Greenwich-themed gifts will appeal to discerning shoppers.
The store is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00 am– 4:00 pm. Ample free parking, gift wrapping and complimentary coffee and tea in the Artists Café. Historical Society members always enjoy a 10% discount.
