Greenwich Police officers responded Chickahominy on the west side of town on a report of an assault on the morning of June 7.
On scene investigation revealed that the offender, Robeto Pelaez, 82, of Greenwich had attempted to inflict serious physical injury on the victim by means of a deadly weapon.
Police said Mr. Pelaez acted in a violent and tumultuous manor toward the victim, and made continued threats of serous physical injury.
He was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Attempt Assault 1/Elderly or Other Victim and Threatening 2.
He was held on $250,000 bond he was unable to post.
Mr. Pelaez was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 9, 2025.
