The Grandiflora Garden Tour is Back for its 64th Year in June

The Greenwich Botanical Center (GBC) is hosting their annual Grandiflora Garden Tour on June 10 and 11 from 10:00am – 4:00pm throughout Greenwich and neighboring towns.

Traditionally held in June each year, the Garden tour is renowned for its inspiring views into some of the most spectacular private gardens in Greenwich.

“Generous homeowners open their world-class properties to the public, offering a rare opportunity to enjoy these hidden gem landscapes,” said GBC executive director Phoebe Lindsay.  “The Grandiflora Garden Tour has been a highlight on the Greenwich Botanical Center’s event calendar since 1958 and is a key fundraiser for the non-profit.”

The 2022 Garden Tour will not disappoint with a breathtaking slate of exclusive private gardens in the lineup for June 10th and 11th. From a pollinator-friendly garden to a true wetland garden with native trees and wetland friendly perennials and a Garden for Wildlife to gardens that were first created in the early 1900s, this year’s tour is not to be missed.

Attendees can visit each garden once, on a self-guided tour, either on Friday, June 10 or Saturday, June 11. Self-guided tour tickets will be mailed a week prior to the tour with the location of the gardens. Ticket purchases after June 2 must be picked up at the Greenwich Botanical Center.

A popular add-on to the Tour ticket is a box lunch option by Happiness Is Catering for Friday pick-up only. Boxed lunches must be ordered by June 3rd. As in years past an online silent auction with a variety of great items will open up at the beginning of June. Greenwich Botanical Center, located on the grounds of the Montgomery Pinetum, is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to developing interest and involvement in horticulture, nature and the arts through educational programs, outreach, and special events. It was founded in 1957, by Greenwich citizens whose vision was to provide horticulture education for the community. In addition to all of our program offerings and plant sales through our Greenhouse, Greenwich Botanical Center volunteers conduct outreach projects each year, bringing hands-on gardening projects to senior citizens, school groups and social service and community organizations.
