Third Annual ISD Color Challenge to Feature a New Course!

The International School at Dundee (ISD) Parent Teacher Association (PTA) will host its 3rd annual Greenwich Color Challenge fun run and obstacle course on Saturday, October 5, starting at 9:00am with rolling start times to accommodate various schedules.

This action-packed, community-wide event will be held rain or shine, and is open to the public with all proceeds benefiting PTA-sponsored curriculum enhancements. Registration is available at GreenwichColorChallenge.com through October 4 for $40 and every participant will receive a race day shirt, bag and sunglasses. All Greenwich schools have a discount code that may be found in their respective newsletters.

This year includes a new course and additional obstacles, all designed to encourage some good, clean “dirty” fun!

The 1.5-mile course starts and ends at the ISD fields and takes participants through 10-plus obstacles and six color stations—where kids and adults get “dusted” with safe, non-toxic, washable powder. (Those who prefer to skip the color can simply run around the stations).

Everyone is encouraged to wear their silliest attire (think: tutus, wacky socks, rainbow wigs!).

After wading in foam, bouncing through a ball pit and more, runners reach the finish line, where there’s more excitement with a variety of games, prizes and food. All participants will receive a ribbon and high-fives!

“The Greenwich Color Challenge has become a real community event, with hundreds of participants from all over Greenwich and neighboring towns,” said John Fisher, ISD PTA Co-President. “This year, we’ve got a new course and added some new surprises. Kids and families love it, and we’re sure everyone will have a blast. It’s a fun event that makes a positive impact in our community, as the funds raised with the Greenwich Color Challenge go back into educational enrichment programs.”

The International School at Dundee was authorized in July of 2003 as an official International Baccalaureate school.  ISD is one of only 181 authorized IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) schools in the US, and one of only a few elementary schools in Connecticut to receive the IBPYP accreditation. ISD offers programs for students from kindergarten through fifth grade. For more information, visit www.greenwichschools.org/international-school-at-dundee or call 203-637-3800
