Temple Sholom, located at 300 East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, offers uplifting and inspiring traditional services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Families with children Kindergarten and older are encouraged to attend Temple Sholom’s Family Services, held at the state-of-the-art auditorium at Greenwich High School on the first day of Rosh Hashanah (Monday, September 30), and on Yom Kippur (Wednesday, October 8). Family Services are musical and highly-interactive, using a multi-media slideshow for children to easily follow along.
Temple Sholom also offers High Holiday programs for families with children Pre-K and younger, which are free and open to the community (no tickets required). Tot Rosh Hashanah (Monday, September 30) and Tot Yom Kippur (Wednesday, October 9) take place from 1:45 pm-2:30 pm, and introduce the holidays through song, dance and stories.
Yom Kippur afternoon (Wednesday, October 8) is also open to the community (no tickets required). Adult learning will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by Musical Meditation at 2:15 pm and Mincha at 3:00 pm. Guest speaker Cody Foss, the Regional Director of Ben’s Bells, will discuss “The Kind Mind” at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary, followed by Yizkor, N’eilah, the concluding shofar, and Ma’ariv. All are welcome to break the fast (sponsored by Temple Sholom’s Sisterhood) at the conclusion of services.
