GPD: Sharp Eye, Good Memory Led to Arrest of Wanted Man

On April 22 Greenwich Police observed a man they recognized as having an active arrest warrant driving a vehicle in central Greenwich.

Officers knew the man, Anthony Repaci, 39, of Tomkins Ave in Mamaroneck, NY and conducted a motor vehicle stop.

The warrant, which was for Larceny 4, stemmed from an investigation into the theft of a wallet from a West Putnam Avenue Gas Station.

After stopping Repaci, officers learned he had a second warrant for Failure to Appear 2 because he missed a court date on Feb 15, 2019 pursuant to motor vehicle violations. Police also discovered Repaci didn’t have a valid driver’s license and his driving privileges in Connecticut were suspended.

Also, police say that at the time of his arrest, Repaci had a small amount of suspected narcotics and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke narcotics.

He was charged on Monday with Driving Under Suspension, Driving without a License, Illegal Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,000.

Repaci has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 6, 2019.
