Stamford Man Charged with Drunk Driving on North Street

On the morning of Friday June 19 Greenwich Police responded to a report of a white Lexus driving erratically, not maintaining proper lane and almost hitting utility poles.

Around 8:30am, Police observed the Lexus driving south on North Street, failing to maintain the lane of travel.

When Police stopped the car in the area of Dempsey Lane, they say the driver, Peter J Sciarretta, 49, of Stamford CT, had slurred speech and seemed to be confused.

Sciarretta was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was charged with DWI and two counts of Failure to Maintain Lane.

He was able to post his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 3, 2020.
