Old Greenwich Man Charged with Failure to Appear after Call for a Ride to Hospital

Around 9:00pm Aug 25 Greenwich Police responded to a residence on Sound Beach Ave on a report of a man needing transportation to Stamford Hospital.

While at the residence, police discovered that Joseph Abi-Habib, 26, of Sound Beach Ave had an outstanding warrant stemming from violations in another jurisdiction.

Abi-Habib was then transported and processed at Greenwich Police Dept where he was charged with Failure to Appear 1.

His bond was set at $25,000.

Abi-Habib has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 8, 2020.

According to the Dept of Justice website, Mr. Abi-Habib was previously arrested by Greenwich Police on Sept 26, 2019 when he was charged with Breach of Peace 2, Public Indecency, and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Child (Class C Felony). On Nov 4, 2019 he was charged with Failure to Appear 1 (Class D Felony). The status indicates the case is awaiting plea and Abi-Habib’s next court dates for these charges is Oct 16, 2020.
