The information was relayed to the police Special Victims section and investigation revealed that Rathfon sent explicit videos and pictures of himself to the juvenile.

Additional details GPD published to Facebook said the solicitations occurred on-line while the child was on a gaming website.

The images and videos were of the accused performing sexual acts in the nude.

The GPD Special Victims section, in conjunction with the New Jersey State Police, investigated the incident jointly.

Greenwich Police obtained an arrest warrant from Stamford Superior Court on Aug 28, 2020.

Rathfon was able to post $150,000 bond and was released from custody.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 12, 2020.

“The Greenwich Police Dept reminds all parents of the dangers that can take place in cyberspace. Many child predators use gaming applications, forums, and websites to meet children. The Greenwich Police Department will forever fight to protect children from being victimized.”
