On Friday, Oct 2 around 10:15pm Greenwich police officers patrolling Greenwich Avenue conducted a motor vehicle stop after spotting a car parked facing the wrong way on Greenwich Avenue, which is one way.
Through investigation, police determined that Jose Campoverde, 61, of Queens, NY smelled of alcohol. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with Improper Parking and DUI.
Campoverde has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 2, 2020.
He was unable to post his $250 bond and was placed in a GPD cell block.
