Cos Cob Man Charged with Violation of Protective Order, Risk of Injury to Child, Disorderly Conduct

On July 12 just after midnight Greenwich Police responded to Cos Cob on a report of an altercation involving an intoxicated man and a child in the residence.

Upon arrival police learned the intoxicated man, later identified as Leon E Standly, 62, of Valley Rd, had fled the scene.

Investigation revealed a minor physical altercation had occurred in the kitchen after Mr. Standly burned a steak on the stove top and then forced his way into a bedroom where the two victims were hiding.

Officers learned there was an active court order of protection between Standly and one of the victims.

Standly was located at the Shell station in Stamford off Exit 6 and was charged with Violation of Protective Order, Disorderly Conduct and Risk of Injury to a Child.

He appeared in court later that morning. His bond was set at $2500.
