On Tuesday Greenwich Police served a warrant at Greenwich Police headquarters to a New Haven woman for charges stemming from a car crash just after midnight in the area of Indian Field Rd and Sound Shore Drive in Cos Cob back on September 26, 2021.
Police say Curbrer Darshae Martin, 28, that Ms Martin initially said her boyfriend Shane Jackson had borrowed her car on Sept 25 at 1:00pm an that she had not been with him when he was involved in a crash.
She later gave a sworn, voluntary statement on Oct 12 saying she was in fact with her boyfriend on Sept 26 and was in the passenger seat when eh crash took place, but that the other car had evaded the scene. Further she told police that she and her boyfriend stayed on scene for five minutes, but left without calling the police.
Police applied for a warrant for Martin’s arrest based on her inconsistent account of the incident and for interfering with the investigation. She was processed and charge with Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Arrest.
She was able to post her $10,000 bond and was released from custody. Martin has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 17, 2021.
