On Thursday morning upper school students at King School previewed scenes from The Laramie Project which will be performed at the school this weekend. The play is based on the brutal homophobic murder of Matthew Shepard back in 1998. Though 20 years have passed and none of the students was born when the hate fueled murder took place, the lessons are timely given this moment in time, 11 Jewish congregants of the Tree of Life in Pittsburgh having just been murdered.
