Harbor Management Commission Denies Parks & Rec Request for $2,900 to Upgrade Key Buoys

A Parks & Rec request for $2,900 to upgrade buoys to mark Jake’s Reef, Finch’s Rock, Salt Rock, Sugar Boat and the wreck of the Kevin B at Captain’s Island was denied by the Harbor Management Commission at the Jan. 21 meeting. All five buoys have been known to drift, resulting in potentially hazardous situation for boaters, and have been a concern of the harbor master for many years. Continue Reading →
