On Thursday the gymnasium at Greenwich High School was the venue for a soccer meet among Unified Sports teams from Greenwich, Norwalk and Darien.
The Cardinals faced off against the Norwalk HighSchool Bears and the Darien High School Blue Wave and the gymnasium was divided into three areas for the contest.
The contest benefited from the enthusiasm of the GHS cheerleaders and dance team.
The Unified Sports program was created at GHS back in 2010. Today, PE teacher Deirdre Burke runs the program, which has grown exponentially and is a joy to attend.
Consider attending a game! There is an FCIAC tournament at Farifield Ludlowe on November 6 and then the Cardinals last soccer game of the season is November 13 at GHS Field #3 at 3:15pm.
