Woman Caught Shoplifting on Greenwich Ave Also Charged for Possession of Narcotics

On April 9, during a traffic direction detail at the intersection of Greenwich Ave and Havemeyer Ln, a Greenwich Police Officer was approached about a possible shoplifting incident. Two females subjects were subsequently stopped on Greenwich Ave for questioning.

On scene investigation revealed that the Maryna Lupul,  18, of 175 Seaton Rd in Stamford, had taken items from LF at 319 Greenwich Ave without paying. According to Lt. Gray, the items taken were were a few hundred dollars.

Additionally, a search incidental to arrest revealed that Ms. Lupul was in possession of narcotics. She was subsequently arrested for Possession of Narcotic, Failure to Keep Narcotic Drugs in the Original Container, and Larceny 6th degree.

Lupul was able to post her $200 Bond and was assigned a court date of April 25, 2016 at Stamford Superior Court.
