Suspect in Greenwich Charged with Assault, Strangulation, Risk of Injury to Child

On Nov 23 around 12:30am Greenwich Police responded to an address in town on a report of an assault.

Officers observed injuries to victim #1’s face and neck. Victim #1 reported that the Offender, Moshe A Villaizan-Reyes, 37, hit her multiple times while she was holding Victim #2, knocked Victim #1 to the ground, continued to hit Victim #1 while she was on the ground, and grabbed Victim #1 by the throat in an attempt to Strangle Victim #1.

Victim #1 further related that she attempted to lock herself in two different bathrooms, and that the Offender, Mr. Villaizan-Reyes broke through the doors of both bathrooms before she was able to escape.

Officers developed probable cause and Mr. Villaizan-Reyes was placed under arrest.

He was charged with Risk of Injury to Child, Criminal Mischief 2, Disorderly Conduct, Assault 2, and Strangulation/Suffocate 2.

He was able to post the required 7% of his $7,500 bond, and he was released. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 25, 2024.
