Stamford Man Charged with Harassment, Violation of Protection Order

On Nov 26 a Stamford man turned himself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for an incident back in September.

Matthew Cooper Krantz, 22, was charged with Harassment 2 and Criminal Violation of a Civil Protection Order.

Police say Mr. Krantz sent unwanted messages to the victim incessantly.

He was able to post his $30,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 10, 2021.

A second outstanding warrant stemmed back to an incident on Oct 18, 2021, when Krantz was charged with Criminal Trespass 2 and Disorderly Conduct. Police say Krantz had entered another person’s residence without authorization and manipulated items.

Bond was $5,000, for which Krantz was able to post the required 10%.

He was released to the custody of Stamford Police who had their own arrest warrant for Krantz.

Krantz has a history of arrests by Greenwich Police.
