Multiple Charges for Cos Cob Man after Victim Flags Down Passing Car

Christopher Gabriel, 34, of 3 Sayles Street  in Cos Cob was arrested on Saturday after a concerned citizen reported having been flagged down by a person screaming in the middle of the street.

According to Greenwich Police, the incident, which took place at about 10:30am on Sayles Street, began when Mr. Gabriel had an altercation with another person over text messages on their phone. After other person retreated to the bathroom, Mr. Gabriel allegedly barricaded the person in the bathroom with a dresser.

Mr. Gabriel left the residence and the victim was able to get out of the bathroom.

Greenwich Police responded to Westport where they were able to arrest Mr. Gabriel. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Restraint 2nd degree and Threatening. He was released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Monday, Feb. 8.
