Greenwich Man Charged for by Warrant for New Year’s Incident

On Feb 10 Kai Thompsen, 22, turned himself in to Greenwich Police on an active warrant that stemmed back to 12:30am on New Year’s when police say he engaged in fighting and tumultuous behavior with a group of people at a party.

Police say Thompsen threatened the group with a knife and proceeded to block the roadway with his body to prevent their escape.

Thompsen was charged with Reckless Endangerment 1, Threatening 2, Disorderly Conduct, Breach of Peace 2/Assault/Strike, Breach of Peace 2/Violent/Threat.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 10, 2021. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
