Greenwich Man Charged Following 911 Call about a Tumultuous Altercation

Alpman Ilker, 43, of 15 Anderson Rd, was arrested on May 5 following a 911 call that came to Connecticut State Police around 4:00am and was transferred immediately to Greenwich Police.

According to Lt Kraig Gray, a distraught victim came to the phone to report an altercation which he characterized as tumultuous and physical but not resulting in injuries.

Mr. Ilker was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault 3rd degree. He was also charged with Interfering with an Officer because he attempted to push past officers to talk to the victim during the investigation.

Mr. Ilker was unable to post his bond of $1,000 and was assigned a court appearance the same day in Stamford Superior Court.

Lt. Gray said that earlier the same morning, around 3:30am Greenwich Police had mediated an incident between Mr. Ilker and a taxi driver involving a dispute over the fare. That incident did not result in an arrest.
