Cos Cob Man, 21, Charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Criminal Attempt of Burglary

Remi Tai Levinson, 21, of 19 Frontier Rd in Cos Cob was arrested at about 4:45am Sunday morning after Greenwich Police responded to Connecticut Ave on a report of a suspect attempting to gain entry into a first floor window.

Upon arrival, the reporting party said that he had observed a suspect attempting to open a locked window to his home, and that the suspect had run off toward Milbank Ave.

The reporting party also observed that his unlocked vehicle in the driveway had been rummaged through.

Police reported spotting an illegally parked vehicle in the vicinity. About 20 minutes later the suspect started to walk back toward the illegally parked car. The reporting party was able to positively identify the suspect, Mr. Levinson as the person who attempted to gain entry into his home. The illegally parked vehicle was registered to Levinson’s mother.

The reporting party and his wife provided sworn written statement to the facts in the incident.

Levinson was charged with Burglary 3rd degree for entering into the reporting party’s vehicle, and Conspiracy to Commit/Criminal Attempt at Burglary. He was released on a Promise to Appear and has a court date of March 7 in Stamford Superior Court.
