Greenwich Youth Citizens Police Academy runs all week. About 60 middle schoolers are learning about policing. A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen has been scheduled for Monday, June 29 at 7:00pm in the Town Hall meting room to discuss the request for Municipal Improvement (MI) Status for New Lebanon Elementary School (Scheme D). It was a gorgeous sunny day at Armstrong Court for Family Centers pre-school graduation on Thursday, and for many of the children it was probably the first certificate they’d earned. As families jockeyed for an angle for the prefect photo or video, the children, in their mortar boards and best outfits, smiled as all the attention was directed their way. About two dozen volunteers from Morgan Stanley set up the event, served lunch to all the children and their families and even cleaned up afterward, making it possible for the parents to actually see and enjoy the graduation.
