Every May, in time for Memorial Day, Greenwich Selectman Dave Theis saw to it that ten flags were erected on each side of the Mianus Bridge over Rte 1. After the Town lost the well-liked selectman in December 2014, the bridge came to symbolize the patriotic man. Now the bridge he liked to decorate with flags will be named in his honor.
