Greenwich Harbor Master’s Report: Shrinking Harbors, Fewer Moorings

“As of July 15, 2015 we have had 550 mooring applications to date. At $75.00 each that should total $ 41,250.00… Silted in mooring fields must be restored and maintained by dredge to meet the growing demand for moorings. Architectural Review Committee: Revised Eversource Rendering Still God Awful

On Wednesday night the Architectural Review Committee again blasted Eversource, who presented an updated rendering of their proposed substation for 290 Railroad Ave. One member of the ARC said it looked like an abandoned hotel in Florida. GASP member Dwight Uedo said it looked like “a sex shop.” Other residents described it as “lipstick on a pig” and “like a Westy Storage Center” respectively. In the end, all the ARC could do was compile their advice in writing and furnish it to the Connecticut Siting Council who take over the approval process here on in. Continue Reading →
