River House: Alzheimer’s Association Education Program

“Effective Communication Strategies” for caregivers will be held on Wednesday, July 29 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at River House, 125 River Road Extension, Cos Cob. Lunch will be provided and respite is available with prior arrangements to participants who are caring for someone during the day. Three Greenwich Women Lead Non-Profit Charity, Fido Fixers

Greenwich residents Lisa Wysocki, Suzanne Steinberg and Susan Maounis created Fido Fixers, mobile low-cost spay-neuter clinics for animals in southern states back in 2013. In Three years, they have altered 13,000 animals. Macon County Georgia, which is less rural than their other destinations, is their most productive location, altering 3,000 to 5,000 dogs per year. Greenwich Marine Police Rescue Dehydrated, Exhausted, Kayaker Just Before Sunset

On Monday Greenwich Marine police rescued a kayaker who was showing signs of dehydration, exhaustion, fatigue, and confusion. Both Marine Officers had to assist the kayaker out of the water because she was too exhausted to assist herself out and onto the boat.
