While many Greenwich residents are familiar with Abilis, River House, Neighbor to Neighbor, and Family Centers there is one very busy social services agency in the heart of downtown Greenwich that is less often in the spotlight. Owner of Mystic Pizza Sentenced for Tax Evasion

The owner of a pizza restaurant, the namesake of a popular 1988 movie starring Julia Roberts was sentenced in Bridgeport on Monday for tax evasion. According to US Attorney Deirdre Daly, John Zelepos caused Mystic Pizza to pay a total of $162,168 to two “no-show” employees who performed no work for the restaurant. Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol: Last of the Mohicans

Once upon a time there was a fire police patrol attached to every fire company in Greenwich. These days the only two are in Cos Cob and Glenville. But what’s special about the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol (CCFPP) is that they serve the entire Town of Greenwich. They specialize in salvage work.
