Throughout the day, officers showcased specialized units including the SWAT team, dive team, and the department drone program. Police vehicles and equipment were displayed outside headquarters as children and families had the opportunity to speak directly with officers about their roles and training.
The Riverside Garden Club invites all to join them for a tour of the Colonial Herb Garden and light refreshments. Two Roads Brewery of Stratford has generously volunteered to brew ale using the hops grown at the colonial garden. Come sample what George Washington would have been served at the Knapp’s Tavern during his traverse through Greenwich 250 years ago.
Forty-five members partnered with local nonprofits across Greenwich in a day of hands-on service supporting children, families, and community organizations.

After nearly 6 years of planning and fundraising, the 911 memorial is finally completed and open to the public. The Building Hope Foundation Inc. in collaboration with The Needs Clearing House Inc. will be installing on Thursday August 27th a new Bilco door and repairing the basement access for the Blessed Sacrament food pantry located at 275 Union Avenue Bridgeport.
