Driver with Stolen License Plate Flees Police on I95. Crash with Serious Injuries Ensues.

A drunk driver fled Norwalk Police southbound on I-95 early Saturday morning. The operator lost control of the minivan in the construction zone near exit 11, crashing into a guardrail and then a construction truck, injuring two workers. Letter: CT Gun Seizure Law is Alternate Way to Remove Guns When Someone is a Threat to Themselves or Others

Connecticut was the first state to enact a gun seizure law, in 1999, in the wake of the killing of four CT Lottery employees by a disgruntled co-worker with a history of mental illness. Panelists from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention talk about suicide and what we can do. Stolen and Thrown into a Dog Fight, Radley is a Sweet Family Dog.

Radley is a survivor. He is house trained, beautifully behaved and affectionate. He was basically ripped to shreds about a month ago in Hartford. Dr. Kathi Meenan, a veterinarian with Rippowam Animal Hospital was called by Animal Control. She stitched him back up and nursed back to health. By law she had to return him to Animal Control so they could try to find his owner. That didn’t happen and they were ready to destroy Radley. At that point Dr. Meenan intervened and pulled him. PHOTOS: Teachers Buzz with Enthusiasm during Convocation at Greenwich High School

The GHS student center brimmed with teachers from all across the district during convocation on Thursday morning. The featured speaker was Marco Torres, who talked about all the avenues for communication available to this generation of students and focused his remarks on the importance of allowing students to select the tools they’re comfortable with to “tell their stories.”
