The Junior League of Greenwich and the Town of Greenwich are pleased to announce that this summer residents will have a special addition to their beach pass privileges – an outdoor pool. This exciting debut began with the Junior League and the Town joining forces in 2010 to revitalize Byram Park and build a new outdoor community pool. At that time, the Junior League of Greenwich agreed to conduct a major capital campaign to provide funding towards “The Greenwich Pool,” the centerpiece of the Byram Park Master Plan. The Greenwich Pool, with capacity for 300 people, will be fully handicapped accessible with a main pool, kiddie pool, splash pad, changing areas, showers, restrooms, a café and picnic area. The Greenwich Public Elementary Schools have announced plans to welcome and register incoming – Fall 2018 – kindergarten children and their parents. The process begins with a Kindergarten Orientation program for parents at each of the schools on February 22, 2018 (Snow Date: February 23, 2018). Parents are then asked to make an appointment in March or April – depending on school-specific dates – for Kindergarten Registration to verify residency and register incoming Kindergarteners at their respective schools. In May 2018, incoming Kindergarteners are invited to experience Kindergarten classrooms in their school on Kindergarten Visitation day – May 17, 2018.
