OGRCC Partners with Indoor Turf Facility, STM Fieldhouse in Stamford

The OGRCC (Old Greenwich-Riverside Community Center) has assumed a new role as an anchor organization at the brand-new STM Fieldhouse Stamford.

The facility is located at 421 West Avenue in Stamford, directly behind the new Eastern Greenwich Civic Center building.

The converted warehouse is a premier indoor turf facility that caters to youth organizations.

Travel soccer teams will begin shooting and finishing clinics at the STM Fieldhouse this fall.

A Premier Venue for Youth Development
The STM Fieldhouse features cutting-edge injury-prevention turf fields and a modern and safe environment for young athletes. The OGRCC will utilize the facility primarily for travel soccer programs, providing young players with year-round access to top-notch training and development opportunities.

Why This Matters

● Expanded Opportunities: With the new STM Fieldhouse Stamford, OGRCC will expand its offerings, including clinics and practice sessions tailored to developing skilled and confident soccer players.

● Focus on Safety: The incorporation of injury prevention turf fields ensures that our young athletes train in a safer environment, reducing the risk of sports-related injuries.

● Year-Round Access: No more seasonal limitations. The facility allows us to offer continuous training and practice, helping our players maintain and elevate their skills throughout the year.

“We’re incredibly excited to offer our competitive travel soccer teams this exceptional indoor facility,” said Jen Ludington, Executive Director of OGRCC. “Having this local space allows us to host specialized clinics and significantly enhance our entire soccer program.”

Be Part of Something Big
This significant investment by OGRCC in the STM Fieldhouse is about more than better facilities. It’s about building a stronger, more vibrant community through sports. The OGRCC invites all community members, families, and local sports enthusiasts to join us on this exciting journey. To support this initiative and help offset the increased program costs, the OGRCC is encouraging its members to consider making a tax-deductible donation this year.
