Greenwich Police Arrest New York Man Allegedly Involved in Shooting

On May 22 Greenwich Police responded to I95 in the area of exit 4 northbound in Cos Cob on a report of a vehicle traveling northbound being investigated by NYPD for involvement in a shooting on May 5. The occupants of the vehicle were believed to be armed and dangerous.

Greenwich Police observed the vehicle with two occupants headed north on I-95 and then stop on the eastern shoulder.

During the course of the investigation a search was conducted of the vehicle where a loaded firearm was located hidden within a child’s car seat.

The accused, Jermain McFee, 29, of Brooklyn, took ownership of the firearm and was subsequently arrested for Illegal Possession of Weapon in Motor Vehicle and Criminal Possession of Firearm.

Greenwich Police learned McFee was also a convicted felon.

His bond was set at $20,000, which he was unable to post. McFeeand has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 5, 2023.
