Greenwich Animal Control has so many cats available for adoption their cat cages are full.
“Unfortunately, adoptions have been down lately, and we have a lot of cats and kittens for adoption as well as dogs and a bunny named Cinnabun!” said ACO Suzanne Ondreicka on Monday.
Ondreicka said animal control had quite a few kittens over the summer who did not find homes and have now grown into juveniles.
“They are all very sweet, and have fun, playful and silly personalities,” she added. “We have a rainbow of colors and quite a few siblings that we would love to see get adopted together.”
“As the weather has gotten colder, we have been getting lots of calls on cats that people have seen outdoors and feel bad for,” she added. “They want us to take them, but we are at full capacity for cats and we don’t have any cat cages at the moment.”
