Abilis Youth Board Were Freezin’ for a Reason at Tod’s Point on a Chilly Sunday

On Sunday at 12:00 noon, members of the Abilis Youth Board and other intrepid local youth took a plunge into Long Island Sound to raise funds for the Abilis 2025 “Together We Shine” event, a formal dance, held in conjunction with the Greenwich Junior United Way.

“Together We Shine” is an inclusive formal dance and party held each year, bringing together area high school students and Abilis community members for a fun night celebrating the differences, abilities, needs and dreams in everyone.

About a dozen fearless youth and their volunteer leader, Virginia Blum didn’t waste time fretting about the cold.

There was no grand countdown.

Instead, Ms Blum bolted into the water and the young people followed
