Experience the Sound to Returns to Greenwich Point on Sunday, June 26

Returning after a “two year” absence, Experience the Sound 2022, will be held at Greenwich Point Park on Sunday, June 26 2022, 1:00pm – 4:00pm, and is planned to coincide with the summer opening day of the Bruce Museum’s Seaside Center at the Innis Arden Cottage.

Its purpose is to introduce Greenwich residents and others to outdoor Greenwich marine sporting
activities, plus the various existing conservation and environmentally focused organizations in our
area. Showcasing the Individuals, Volunteer Societies and Municipal Commissions that promote
them, thereby increasing the general public’s awareness of what each has to offer.

The event is free to attend; no items are sold. The format places tables and chairs for the participants
around both the Innis Arden Cottage and the Old Greenwich Yacht Club, to allow their information to
be explained and distributed.

At the latter location, local commercial Shell fishermen “host” a free raw bar of clams and oysters harvested form Greenwich waters and cooked Edible Seaweed (sugar kelp) also harvested locally.

Sound Waters Schooner, Stella Mar Oyster Boat, Greenwich Police Boat and Atlantic Clam Farms Shellfish barge will be moored at the OGYC dock for visitors to sight and board.
