303 Milbank Ave is Setting for Elegant Fashion Show

On Thursday night local realtor Barbara Zaccagnini showcased her new listing, a single family home on 303 Milbank Avenue by staging a fashion show with outfits from Patricia Gourlay, plus and food tastings from three local businesses — Mt. Kisco Smoke House, Greenwich Salad Co and Bobby Q’s Pit Stop. And of course there was an opportunity to tour the house.

The home retains its historic facade, including a generous wraparound porch. Set on a hill, 303 Milbank is a stone’s throw from the restaurants and shops on the bottom of Greenwich Avenue, a hop-skip-and-a-jump to the Greenwich train station, and just a couple blocks from I-95.

For anyone counting, there are five fireplaces including an outdoor fireplace on the private stone patio.

The home boasts a total of five bedrooms, seven baths and two half-baths. By way of surprise, an upstairs room has French doors leading to a private roof deck.

The home is nearly completed in construction, and finishing touches will include an elevator and princess balconies.

At Thursday’s event, a half dozen valet parking attendants assisted guests as they arrived. Moving from the inviting porch, through the double-height foyer to the living room, Doug Zaccagnini was serving wine courtesy of Horseneck Wines & Liquors and delicious pink “Zaccagninis” in martini glasses.

In the kitchen there was a delicious array of wraps, salads, pulled pork sandwiches and smoked fish to sample.

As guests milled about admiring the detailed millwork and custom moldings, hardwood floors and charming exposed brick, friends and colleagues greeted one another.

The home is districted for Julian Curtiss School, Central Middle School and GHS. Accessed by car from a private drive around back, the home has an attached two-car garage.
