What You Need to Know about Independence Day Fireworks in Greenwich

This year Greenwich’s Independence Day fireworks displays are scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023 at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park at dusk. If July 1 is rained out, the shows will be rescheduled for Saturday, September 2 at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park. If the shows are rained out for September 2, there will be one show at Greenwich Point Park on Sunday, September 3. Binney Park Fireworks will start at approximately 9:10 pm. Bird Conservation Program Proposed for Greenwich Point Park

Greenwich has three designated “Important Bird Areas” — Audubon up on Riversville Road, Great Captain’s Island and, now, Greenwich Point Park. Attend an important meeting in Old Greenwich to learn about the draft plan for Greenwich Point Park, which suggests ways to reduce bird disturbances in sensitive habitats, and maintain habitat diversity and quality.
