Whitby Milestone: School is at Capacity with 450 Students

For the first time, Whitby School has reached capacity, enrolling 450 students for the 2015-2016 school year, an increase of nearly 60 students since 2012.

“We feel very privileged to be the school of choice for 450 students and their families,” said Head of School Bryan Nixon. “There is so much joy in sharing in a significant, relevant, engaging and challenging learning journey for each and every child nurtured within our school community.”

During the last five years, Whitby has seen 60 percent growth in the Upper School, whose 8th grade graduates have been accepted into highly competitive secondary schools. The milestone comes just ahead of Whitby opening a newly designed Athletics Center, which is scheduled to open in March, doubling the size of the previous gym.

“Whitby is thrilled to be at capacity for the 2015-16 school year and we look forward to receiving applications from families who wish to provide their children with our exceptional educational continuum for the 2016-17 school year and beyond,” said Director of Admissions and Enrollment Nadia Meier.

Whitby is still accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year. For more on Whitby and our current enrollment, please contact Joshua Aromin at [email protected].
