I am a student in the Greenwich High School Band. Recently we took a trip to Cuba. It was an experience that I will remember forever. Their lifestyle is a lot different. We stayed in one area in a place called Havana. That is basically the New York of Cuba.
People seemed happy in Havana. The paint on the buildings was chipped. There were many experiences that I remember. But one that stands out to me most was when we went to see an elementary school that was mainly music. The school was the size of a house. The kids were really good at singing and playing instruments like the violin and piano. It was really surprising how good they were. It made me think what they would do with what we have here at GHS. For me the trip to Cuba was a great choice because it is a developing country and it will not be like this forever.
