Greenwich Schools Chief Yet to Determine Whether to Open Schools on Friday

Greenwich Schools announced about 5:00pm on Thursday that Superintendent Dr. Gildea is carefully monitoring current conditions and forecasts to determine the status of school for Friday Jan 5.

“Dr. Gildea is working in collaboration and consultation with Town departments, including public works and police, as well as the school transportation company and area Superintendents to determine the status of school opening for Friday,” the district said in an email to parents.

According to the statement, decisions about closing or a delayed opening of school will likely be made late Thursday night or early Friday morning, per standard protocol.
