Greenwich Schools Announce 2017 Distinguished Teachers!

Congratulations to the  2017 GPS Distinguished Teachers!

The Greenwich Distinguished Teachers awards committee announced on Wednesday that 2017 distinguished teachers:

* STEPHEN BABYAK, Cos Cob School, Grade 5 *

* VICTORIA MORRISON CAPPIALI, North Street School, Kindergarten *

* MICHAEL GALATIOTO, Greenwich High School, History/Psychology *

* ERIN RANDALL, Greenwich High School, Special Education *

* BRIDGET SUVANSRI, Eastern Middle School, Language Arts *

*DIANE TAYLOR, North Mianus School, Special Education *

The Distinguished Teachers Awards Committee, Inc., established in 1984 has worked on the selection process for this year’s recipients for the last eight months.

The Committee selects the Distinguished Teachers from nominations made by colleagues, parents, students, administrators and/or community member  based on criteria outlined in the nomination packet available at www.greenwichschools.org/dta

The Distinguished Teachers Awards recipients will be recognize at the Board of Education meeting Thursday, April 20 at Riverside School at 7:00 p.m Riverside School PTA will hold  Cake & Coffee Reception in the Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.

The distinguished teachers awards ceremony will take place at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, May 2 at 4:00 pm.
