Greenwich Police Track Down Hit-and-Run Driver in Riverside

On Friday April 21, Greenwich Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the area of 1233 East Putnam Ave in Riverside.

Another party involved in the crash, which took place around 11:30am, provided the license, make and model of the car that took off, a 2012 Toyota Sienna driven by a Hispanic female. Police located the car a short time later, though the owner, Miriam E Rodas, 37, of 17-11 Armstrong Court in Greenwich, was in the car but not driving it at the time.

Rodas, who initially did not give Greenwich Police her true name, identified by her driver’s license, though she attempted to hide it.

The man driving the car at the time also identified the woman as Ms. Rodas, and said she had been driving the car at the time of the crash.

Ms. Rodas was arrested and charged with Interfering with an Officer, Evading an Accident with Serious Injury and/or Property Damage, Improper Passing and No Insurance.

She was released on a $1,000 bond and assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on May 5, 2017.
