Greenwich United Way’s Reading Champions literacy program for elementary schoolers is in need of additional tutors for its after-school sites.
A partnership program with Greenwich Public Schools, Reading Champions trains volunteers to work for one hour, one-on-one with a student to work toward improving their reading and comprehension skills.
To date, this initiative has helped more than 2,000 local students become stronger readers. There are currently wait lists at three afternoon locations.
