Woman Suspected of Shoplifting at LF on Greenwich Ave Found with Heroin, Pot and Cocaine

Greenwich Police cars, newGreenwich Police Officers were called to LF at 319 Greenwich Ave on Wednesday at about 5:30pm on the report of a woman shoplifting clothing.

Prior to officer’s responding, the subject ran out of the store toward Wells Fargo Bank and entered a black SUV.

Officers were able to conduct a motor vehicle stop and identified the operator as Carolina Rivera, 20, of 35 Eleven O’Clock Rd in Weston. Rivera said she had just left LF. Moments later, a LF Manager caught up to the SUV and identified Rivera as the suspect.

A search of Rivera’s vehicle revealed multiple clothing items with LF tags attached.

A search of Rivera’s purse revealed multiple wax folds containing a brown powdery substance consistent with that of Heroin.

Additionally, a small amount marijuana, and cocaine were located along with a razor blade, zig zag rolling papers, and a small pair of scissors.

Rivera was placed under arrest for Larceny 4th degree, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana less than 1/2 ounce.

Rivera was scheduled a court date of Aug. 12 at Stamford Superior Court. She was able to post a cash bond of $500 and was released from custody.
